While mowing beyond the pasture fence Monday, Heidi headed over to see what I was doing. |
I wish I had a grass cube treat to feed her, but no joy. |
Her two daughters followed her. Her newest, the as yet un-named black heifer was pretty frisky, and her older daughter Sandie was running toward us in the other paddock. |
Here is new daughter. Yea, I know - need a name for her. |
Here is 11 month old Sandie. |
Sisters! |
I liked this postioning - Mother and daughters! |
Your calves are so cute . . . you don't have a name for the black one yet? You have to have some cute ideas . . . my grandparents always tell us to give them uncommon names . . . like whispers, willow, zoey . . . stuff like that??? lol
ReplyDeleteThey're so precious!
ReplyDeleteYou should name the black one...I don't know something odd...
Pippi. Pepper. Pepperoni. jk LOL!

ReplyDeleteMaddie is right!
You could go Egyptian and name her Nefertiti. Eh?
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm going to call her nova, like a supernova:)
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Surabhi?
ReplyDeleteDo you milk your dexters?

George
When we bought Surabhi in Sep. 2010, we knew she came with a slightly lame back leg. As she grew older, we discovered she also had a fairly severe crooked back. This past spring we put her in the freezer since she was eating grass and not productive. Yes, we milk our Dexters, but our main family dairy cow is Darlin who is 1/2 Dexter.
