Busy Saturday

After feeding animals, the boys and I had to round up equipment and go help one of our Scouts with his Eagle project. Had to go get my saw horses from a different farm, but they were connected by "stripped" phillip's head screws. They had to flip em over and shove into bed of truck and tie down.

We had 28 Scouts, siblings, friends, Dads, and Grand Dads at the Eagle project (building three picnic tables for town's new park). Pretty impressive turn-out because it was also opening day of deer hunting season. Got the project done in one day. Several of us had to leave early to drive 45 miles to attend a baptism.

Dan spent the day waiting in the woods on our hillside for Bambi's mom or dad. Got a good sized doe at sunset. While he skinned it, K8 and I filled the ruts in our steep driveway with rocks and sprinkled wet cement powder over it in the hopes of slowing the erosion during tomorrow's coming rain storms. We gave the momma cows extra hay, and K8 filled the bird feeder in preparation for tomorrow night's 30 degree temps. Looking forward to a rest on Sunday!
