Friday afternoon, we picked up 7 big bags of beef weighing 225 pounds - lots of steaks, roasts, burger, brisket, and more steaks. Two weeks to the day that we butchered our steer. K8 and I had ribeye steak tonight, and it was GOOD!

Also Friday, the crew went back to work clearing more brush. K7 and K8 each had a chain saw, and an assigned area to cut.

K8 was supposed to cut stumps out of the ground, but got distracted by the challenge of taking down this half tree - which he succeeded in doing safely.

K7 cut up several logs, and then built this pile of branches.

I built this pile, and K7 tossed the lighted match...

...which was also successful. Why this constant clearing and burning along the back fence? To reclaim a few more acres of grass for our animals to eat in the years to come, and to enjoy seeing the beautiful stream.
