Hot on the trail of J K Rowling!

I should have known - the trail leads upward...

You have to go slow and carefully study everything for clues...

Sometimes the trail leads you through alleys...

...and sometimes through complicated and mysterious doorways...

My favorite steps in Edinburgh - they actually go DOWN!

Even sleuths need a lunch break in the garden park.

Back on the trail again, and of course it leads UP!

Ah haaa! Our first real clue! Riddle's Close! We must be getting Close...

Not Tom Riddle, but still, a pretty rare find - a man with a boogey board, and no where near a beach with surfing waves.

There is beauty to be found all along the trail.

Let's ask this friendly fellow for help.

He suggested that since she is a famous author, maybe she is at the Writer's Museum, but alas, no such luck...

So we decided to go back to the Elephant Restaurant, where she worked on her first Harry Potter novel, and sure enough, there was the clue staring us in the face - look at the door on the right in the background...could it be that easy?

Oh my gosh! She has been here!

...and very recently - the seat is still warm!
