Homemade lamb jerky

During last week's lamb processing, our mountain man friend suggested we make jerky, so S marinated a batch and used her dehydrator for the first time in a year.

We got 3 large bags! The first bag is a little too salty for her, but I like it. Next time I think we should add a little crushed red hot pepper...

  1. Seriously, no recipe?! Did you add "Slap Yo Mama?" This makes me think of that beef jerky from that mega truck stop. What's that place called again? Delish!

  2. No "Slap Yo Mamma" spice on this first attempt, but definitely will use it on next batch. I have no idea what recipe Mom used, I'll mail you some. "Loves" is name of the truck stop.
