Early morning operation

Due to Friday evening's severe thunderstorms, we had opened the corral gate to allow the momma cows and sheep, and their babies, to seek shelter in the loafing barn. During the night, they ate the bale of hay we were using to block the hay shed doors closed. Oops! not too smart. I sent the boys out early Saturday to chase the critters back into paddock #1, and since "T-bone" was in the corral, I told them to catch him and change him from a bull into a steer.

The boys had to distract his momma and the others with a little grain until they finished the "operation". "T-bone" soon rejoined them, and seems to be doing fine.
