Whipple Militia

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! When they are finished with school and chores, its time to polish practical skills. From left to right that is Marshall, K7, and K6 standing in the upper portion of paddock #1 shooting .22 rifles downward to the lower portion with the stream and hillside behind the target (a little metal stand).

K8 finally finished his math and ran outside to join them before they consumed all the ammo. He's on the far left. You can tell by the snow on ground that it was fairly cold, but these guys stayed out there shooting for quite a while. Later, I made them go back out and pick up their brass shell casings - my cows and sheep have to eat that grass next spring.
