Almost an Eagle!

K7 finally finished all the Boy Scout Eagle paperwork and put together a nice binder with his application, photos and service project report. He also asked six people to write letters of recommendation for him. Last Friday, we drove an hour to the big city, stopped at Kinko's to get a nice cover and spiral binding, and then to the Scout office, and...

...he turned it in, so he is officially done. After the Scout office reviews and approves his application this week, they send it to our District advancement chairman who, after receiving it and the six reference letters, schedules an Eagle Board of Review for K7 in which he will be interviewed by 3 or 4 community leaders for an hour, after which they vote to approve him as an Eagle Scout. We're hoping to be completed with all this by the end of this month, and schedule his Eagle Court of Honor in January or February. Anyone want to attend his Eagle Court? He already has enough additional merit badges to earn his Bronze palm award in six months.
