Yes, none other than the great movie, "Taming of the Shrew". Hey, don't knock it until you have watched it. My four daughters might understand my love of this Shakespeare comedy. In fact, I have an extra copy of the movie on DVD and it will go to whichever of my lovely daughters who is the first to comment on this blog posting!
I'm #1 again. But blast it all, I've already purchased a copy for myself. It's a must own! The banter between the couple is pure comedy. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton is seems were "madly mated" in both drama and real life. Guess they didn't learn what they could from Shakespeare.
ReplyDeleteKlara has a copy too. We love this movie!
ReplyDeleteDad you gave me a copy for Christmas last year :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to know that my three oldest daughters are well schooled in classical movies, Shakespeare, comedy, and marriage. "True love!" (quick, what movie?). So, why isn't my youngest daughter following the blog as closely?
ReplyDeletePrincess Bride!!!
ReplyDelete"Princess Bride" is Correct!
ReplyDeleteWhat do I win for being correct? A trip to England or something like that? :)
ReplyDeleteDaddy I follow! I have a copy too! first watched this movie at age six, loved it by ten, and owned it at 19!
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like I still have an extra copy of this great movie. Who does not own it, but would like to?
